TABLE TALK

An intimate play between art & life

Table Talk launches on October 9th and is a collection born from the intimacy of food and connection formed around the table. It felt essential to host a lunch to celebrate.

Through the production and design of the event we worked to bring the artworks in the collection to life, immersing guests in the experience and celebrating arts many forms.

MARIA'S

Briefed with bringing art to life, the talented twins of Maria's designed a menu that did just that; only there was one restriction. Within the collection is a lot of fishy friends... and fish was not allowed on the menu.

They innovated, adapted and created an experience that immersed guests in the colours, flavours and textures of the works, morphing the art on the wall into a mirror of what was playing out in front of them.

The thread of the story unravelled slowly, pulling viewers in, forcing guests to take the time to connect — a harsh contrast from societies normal programming but a reflection of the pace a shared meal should be.

THE FLOWER BAR CO.

A tablescape inspired by something from a fairytale, The Flower Bar stayed true to the theme with arrangements that required a double take.

Sprinkling seasonal fruit and vegetables in with local blooms, the centrepieces set the tone for guests the moment they entered the room and teased the boundaries of what can come from thinking outside the box.

FEARON

We were lucky enough to join forces with the creative mind of Jack Fearon. Inviting a pop of colour and character to the table, his pieces were everything the lunch aimed to highlight.

Bringing together likeminded artists, Table Talk prompted some hard hitting questions on creativity and artistry in today's world. Jack's philosophy with his brand speaks to all of this and more.

    SOFTEGDE

So much of a dining experience must be put down to the tools you dine with, and it was essential to the execution of our vision that the plating of each dish rounded out the experience for guests.

Everything about Softedge was the perfect fit for Table Talk and allowed us to spotlight another local artist with Layla even joining us at the table!

Table Talk is more than just a collection launch, more than an art exhibition or lunch event. The chatter is a silent song that bids farewell to outdated concepts; an invitation to innovative ways of thinking; a farewell to a long, bitter Winter and warm embrace of Spring’s new, blooming ideas. This is a creative food concept that surpasses any supper club. A look, not at food, art or design, but the philosophy of creativity as a whole.

A special thank you to all of the artisans involved in bringing this collection to life.
